Boys will be boys

Again, we've been busy - too much going on.

I attended a parenting class last week offered by the Healthy Community Partnership (and it was free!) titled "Why Are These Boys Driving Me Crazy". The title called to me - it described my thoughts. I learned a lot & hope to apply what I've learned to how I am with the boys. The biggest thing I learned is boys will be boys. They are aggressive, they are visual and need a physical outlet for all that energy they have - for example wrestling; which the twins do at least 10 - 15 times a day. They are also loud and do actually have a smaller tube in their inner ear so, yes, they do not hear as well as women - that explained what I called Peyton's male selective hearing that I believe he has had from day 1.

This past weekend I took the boys to Gail's Pumpkin Patch and Grandma H. came along as well.
Below are some of the pictures from the Patch.

The "Train" that was pulled around the farm by a riding mower

Peyton & Porter

Yes, I made them sit facing the sun & tried to get their picture. Not the smartest thing to do (lots of squinting & looking down)

Porter wiped out yesterday at Daycare & his face landed on a toy firetruck. Porter has developed a nice black eye from it. Just in time for pictures this friday.

Paul also came up last night with a bump & bruise on his head. I'm just waiting to see what Peyton ends up doing.
Oh, and another boy thing - Porter decided to put rocks in his ears today while playing outside at daycare. Fortunately, the teacher caught him & was able to get it out.

Gotta love those boys!

I will definitely have to remember that whole "boys will be boys" thing. I'll be there in 16 days! Maybe you can share some of the tips you learned from your class with me. :)
